I really like it, especially considering the constraints and time limitations from being made for a game jam.
The core mechanic is fun - this could easily be expanded upon, making a more non-linear experience. Something like a Metroidvania for example, unlocking animal forms that give access to new areas, could work well.
The sprites are adorable, and very well done, with a good grasp on how to make them look good with a single color.
As for negative points - as can be expected, there is some stuff that could be polished, of course. I would have loved proper controller support, e.g. having the shoulder buttons switch between animal forms. Also, I had some frustrating moments when switching animal forms resulted in slipping from edges. Making sure the collision boxes of the animal forms don't conflict when switching between them could be a good addition. I personally think that the difficulty spikes a bit early, with precision platforming being demanded early on - although that too is understandable with the short dev time and short amount of levels overall (hard to pace difficulty if there aren't enough levels for pacing)
There were also some rendering errors for me, with glitchy lines appearing every now and then while scrolling. I cannot be certain, however, if this is maybe caused by me running it in wine under Linux.
Overall, I really enjoyed it, a fun 20 minutes that I don't regret (:
